Keeping Clean in Jakarta
MHE Indonesia provides best solution for cleaning large facades.
PT Plaza Indonesia recently embarked on a new project named Plaza Indonesia Extension, which comprises two towers and a podium – one tower houses offices and the other is residential.
The Plaza Indonesia Extension Project is the second phase of a super-block development, located at one of the most prestigious intersections in Jakarta. This mixed-use project consists of one 50-storey office tower, one 46-storey luxury residential tower, a six-level podium and five levels of subterranean parking and building services. The total gross area of construction is approximately 200,000 sqm (2.15 million sqft).
With such a huge floor area and large façade, cleaning the towers was a challenging task. Plaza Indonesia needed a solution provider who could offer a comprehensive cleaning solution with a high standard of after sales service.
After much discussion, it was decided that MHE will supply two MHE Manntech Building Maintenance Units (BMU), monorail tracks and a Chameleon I cradle. The residential tower has one type six MHE Manntech BMU with 15.5m telescopic outreach running on the track, whilst the office tower has one type six MHE Manntech BMU with 8.5m fixed outreach with the telescopic mast. The BMUs were designed to clean both towers.
The podium and car park block also required cleaning and maintenance, so the cost-effective solution to use monorail tracks with a Chameleon I cradle was suggested and put in place. The cradle was able to transfer from one building to the next without difficulty.
