KLAUS Car Parking Systems to the Rescue
MHE Singapore delivers resourceful car parking systems for Keppel FELS and their customers
Leading shipbuilding company Keppel FELS contracted MHE Singapore to install a G61 car parking system to provide sufficient car park spaces for their customers.
The system did not require extensive digging. However, the main challenge was the inconvenience caused to customers who had to park their cars elsewhere within the premises.
Project engineer Garrick Soh said that the installation, which lasted for two months, was done in phases to minimise these inconveniences.
A total of 95 G61 sections were installed which provided 190 car park spaces. Each space could accommodate two cars, where the driver who arrived earlier would park on the platform and raise it, thus freeing the space below for the second car. If the first car owner wanted to leave, he would call the other owner, who would remove his or her car. The platform could then be lowered to allow the first car to drive out.
